Frequently Asked Questions
I see you are located in Portland, Oregon. Do you do retreats anywhere else in the country?
Our retreats are based mostly out of Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. However, if you live somewhere other than those cities and want to arrange a retreat in your area, we are happy to accommodate. Please contact us directly for more details.
I have a group of my own. Can we do a retreat just for our group?
Absolutely! Master your money during a girls’ only weekend! This retreat would be amazing fun to complete with a group of girlfriends! Contact us and we’ll be more than happy to arrange it for you.
Do you offer coaching packages or other retreats beyond the Rebels and Warriors Money Retreat?
Yes. The Rebels and Warriors Money Retreat is the first step in our coaching process. Those who join us for this retreat will have access to additional money coaching services and other upcoming retreats. We also offer individual one-on-one coaching sessions in person or via the web.
Why do your retreats normally include a weekday in them instead of the typical Friday, Saturday, Sunday retreats?
There are several reasons for this. Primarily, it is for convenience for our retreat participants.
#1: In many cases including weekdays within the retreat reservations help to keep hotel accommodation costs lower for our participants.
#2: We realize that many people choose to observe their Sabbath-day practices on Sunday. In doing so, they would be unable to attend an event that could very possibly be life-changing for them. Therefore, we consciously choose to offer our services to as many people as possible by including at least one weekday into our retreat schedule. This allows for retreat attendance, while also leaving Sundays open for worship.
#3: During our retreat there is A LOT of information that needs to be taken in. Also, challenging and perhaps even emotionally exhausting interior work will be done. We think that it is beneficial for each participant to have a day of respite before returning to the full demands of life. For most people, Sundays provide the perfect day to do that.
What does my registration fee pay for?
Retreat registration payments cover the costs of retreat organization, individual participation, workshop materials and supplies, and some meals.
Why do I have to pay for my own hotel room?
The information and training that we have is good! And it’s important! And we want to make it accessible to as many people as possible. The price point that we’ve established for our retreat is an introductory price which allows us to cover a large portion of the retreat expenses while still making it affordable to most people.
We try to help offset the costs of the rooms with our early-bird specials and chosen retreat dates, and by receiving group pricing from the hotels and retreat centers. Also, if you are willing to share a room with another retreat member you can cut your room costs in half. Just let us know when you register that you don't mind sharing and we'll do our best to partner you up with another awesome lady from our group.
Why do you choose such nice (or secluded) places for your retreats?
Don’t be fooled! While you’re having a great time with some amazing ladies, there’ll also be a lot of hard work going on.
With the amount of information, exploration and interior work that will be taking place, we’ve found that it is better to cover it all in a setting that takes you out of your everyday routine. This allows you to focus entirely on what is being taught. You will get to learn and practice as much as you need to, all the while not having to worry about the other things that compete for your attention daily. This time is for you… and is about you… simply you.
Furthermore, some of the exercises we do may bring up strong emotions or difficult memories. It is important to us that you have a setting that offers peace and solitude, if you need to process through some of these things.
Plus – who doesn’t deserve to be pampered every once in a while?!?
What topics will we cover during the retreat?
Topics can vary with each particular group, depending on what will have the most impact for them. However, typically, we focus on each individual’s money story, how it evolved and how it influences the decisions they make about their money. You will learn techniques to aid in rewriting your self-defeating money scripts and strategies to help you overcome your personal struggles with money – whatever they might be.

Can I bring my significant other?
Yes! By all means! After all, you are paying for a nice room in a hotel or retreat center. Bring them along and enjoy the time away from the world. Please just let us know that is your plan so we can let the hotel or retreat center know your intentions.
Also, understand that you will be in class most of the day and your significant other will be on their own during that time. There may even be some personal work that needs to be done in the evenings outside of the daily workshops. Please be sure to allow time for it.
All registration fees go towards participant expenses only. Food or other expenses will not be covered for guests that are not registered for the retreat.
Do you offer guarantees and/or refunds?
Please see our Payment and Cancellation Policy.
Do I need to bring anything in particular for this retreat?
No. We just need you and a willing, open mind.
However, there will be a lot of emotional work that we will be doing so a journal is helpful. Also, if you have anything in particular that helps to relax or center you, you may want to bring it along. It’s certainly not required though.
What meals are included with my registration fee?
Typically your registration covers breakfasts, lunches and snacks for a mid-morning break. Evening meals, breakfast on day one, and lunch on day three are not included in the retreat package and are the responsibility of the attendee.
Do you have another question about the retreat?
